The Children's Christmas program, "The Light Before Christmas" on Wednesday, December 7th was a real blessing!  Everyone did a wonderful job, and we enjoyed it.  It took a team of people to pull it together.  First of all, we want to thank Linda Hancock who rehearsed with the children each Wednesday and Sunday so we could learn the music and motions.  We also want to thank the parents who brought their children to rehearsal, helped with props and led recreation in our special rehearsal event on Sunday, December 4th.  We appreciate the members of the Children's Council who helped with decorations and props, helped costume and feed the children on December 4th & December 7th.  Cindy urchison packed 40 bag dinners on the day of the program so the children could eat before the performance.  Dennice did a beautiful job with our programs.  We continue to appreciate the biblical costumes that Vienna Snodgrass made.  And last but not least, we want to thank our AWANA volunteers who help us each week as we prepared for the program.

FUMC also provides opportunities to watch and even participate in drama and musical presentations every year.

Festival of Praise is another enjoyable evening of exciting music every February.  All the churches in the Pearl River Cluster particiate in the Festival of Praise.

I am no longer my own, but thine. Put me to what you will. Rank me with whom you will. Put me to doing; put me to suffering. Let me be employed for thee or laid aside for thee, exalted for thee or brought low for thee. Let me be full. Or let me be empty. Let me have all things. Or let me have nothing. I freely and heartily yield all things to thy pleasure and disposal.   Amen

-John Wesley
