39 er's

The 39er's club of The First United Methodist Church was founded in 1978. The purpose of this group is to provide a time and place for mature adults to meet for Christian fellowship. Most members are retired, but this is not a requirement for membership. We welcome all adults, ages 50 and older. The group has an outreach program of supporting local mission efforts as well as District and Conference Missions.

The 39er's meet twice monthly, the first and third Fridays of each month at 10 a.m. in the Senior Room of the Pittman Family Life Center of the First United Methodist Church.
The first Friday there is a business meeting of the group and a social hour, with lunch being provided for the group. The third Friday of each month the group has strictly a social meeting, either remaining at the site or going out to lunch together in the church van.

We welcome new members and visitors.

I am no longer my own, but thine. Put me to what you will. Rank me with whom you will. Put me to doing; put me to suffering. Let me be employed for thee or laid aside for thee, exalted for thee or brought low for thee. Let me be full. Or let me be empty. Let me have all things. Or let me have nothing. I freely and heartily yield all things to thy pleasure and disposal.   Amen

-John Wesley
